Scott Farley
Scott is a full time Martial Arts instructor and student. He is the owner and Chief Instructor of Core Martial Arts Academy. Scott trains IKI Krav Maga under Moshe Katz and Hapkido under GM JR West. Scott is a 3rd Dan Black Belt in Hapkido and 3rd Dan Black Belt in Krav Maga and also coaches Bare Knuckle fighters, Kickboxers, and MMA fighters. He seeks every opportunity to further his training by traveling and training under experts in the field of Martial Arts. Scott often volunteers his time to ensure those in his community have the basic knowledge of awareness and self defense.

A veteran of the US Air Force, Scott performed duties as law enforcement, criminal investigator, personal security officer for 4 star Generals, and installation ground defense. Scott’s prior experience in law enforcement, private and personal security, and controlling dangerous crowds as a bouncer, has given him the knowledge to teach not only self defense techniques, but also conflict avoidance and awareness. Scott is strongly compassionate about the whole person idea of instructing. His goal is to not only teach martial arts techniques, but to also mentor and lead his students on the Martial Arts path.

Carrie Banton
Carrie is a full time Martial Arts instructor and student. She is the co-owner and a full time instructor at Core Martial Arts Academy. Carrie also trains IKI Krav Maga under Moshe Katz and Hapkido under GM JR West. Carrie is a 3rd Dan Black Belt in Krav Maga and 1st Dan Black Belt in Hapkido and also teaches Kickboxing and MMA. Carrie is a certified personal trainer through the International Sports Science Association. Carrie is very passionate about women's self defense and seeks every opportunity to further her training to pass along to students.

Carrie served in the US Marine Corps and is currently also a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse. Carrie began her martial arts training in the Marine Corps in the Marine Corps Martial Art Program, which is comprised mostly of Krav Maga, Hapkido, and Muay Thai. Carrie's work in the behavioral health field gives her front line training and practical experience in deescalation, physical attack cues, stress management, and daily use of her self defense training. Carrie has also studied and has experience with topics such as autism, adhd, odd, social anxiety disorder and childhood concerns that parents may be needing assistance with. Carrie is very passionate about teaching self defense to everyone and helping people rise to their potential.
